Terminal Assessment

Inadequate security within the ATM’s component devices such as PIN pad, dispenser unit, card reader etc is assessed. The assessors use genuine criminal devices and devices manufactured to simulate tools used by criminals. Hand-on assessment of gaps in the security of ATMs owned by the bank. Using the tools mentioned above and known criminal techniques, attack at least two representative ATM configurations in a lab environment. These should be connected to the network and any alerts generated should be
provided in real time during the assessment. While the intention is not to damage the lab ATMs this can not be guaranteed. Carry out nondestructive testing of a selection of live, deployed ATMs. genuine criminal
devices and devices manufactured to simulate tools used by criminals.
